Depending on which version of Lightroom Desktop you have there are 2 options
Option 1: Installing Desktop Presets on Lightroom Classic in 5 steps
- Open Adobe Lightroom CC 2019
- In Develop module, navigate to the left sidebar and find “Presets” tab.
- Click the “+” icon.
- Select “Import Preset”.
- Navigate to where you saved your newly downloaded preset files select them all and click, “Import”
Easy as that! Your new presets will now be stored in the presets side bar ready for you to apply to your photos in one click.
Note: when buying presets online make sure you know which preset files will work for your version of Lightroom. From Lightroom version 7.3 and above all preset files are .XMP these preset files are not compatible with older versions of Lightroom
Option 2: Installing on Lightroom CC
If you are using Lightroom CC Cloud based editor the steps are just as easy
- Open Adobe Lightroom CC
- In the right hand toolbar click on the edit tab
- Then click on “presets” at the top
- Click on the 3 little dots at the top of the presets window
- Select “Import Preset”.
- Navigate to where you saved your newly downloaded preset files on your computer select them all and click, “Import”
