Hoi An the UNESCO ‘city of lanterns’ is a must if you are planning a trip to Vietnam. After arriving in capital Hanoi & experiencing its French colonial fusion, Hoi An was top on our list and we couldn’t wait to get there. What we didn’t know was that it also has some amazing beaches. To experience the best of both, picking the best hotels in Hoi An will make it easier.
If you’re looking for one of the best hotels in Hoi An, we highly recommend The Four Seasons The Nam Hai. Nestled amongst a grove of thousands of coconut palms along the pristine white sand Ha My beach. In our opinion it’s the best balance, enjoy Vietnams top tropical beaches in the day. In the evening head to town to explore the magical scenes of Hoi An come alive with lanterns & bustling night markets.
The best from our stay at Four Seasons The Nam Hai
The room
We stayed in a beautiful villa tucked away in the tropical gardens with views out into the sandy coconut groves. Inspired by traditional Vietnamese design. We loved relaxing in the lounge room enjoying the views with the sea breeze. Another highlight is the unique sunken bedside bathtub to unwind after an evening exploring the busy Hoi An streets.
Infinity pool
During our stay in Hoi An daytime temperatures reached 40 degrees. We found ourselves spending most of our time enjoying the 3 tiered infinity pool with a fresh coconut or cocktail.
Beach bar
The beach bar was our favourite spot to take in the ocean views with a cocktail or a refreshing Vietnamese ice coffee pick me up. Tip: Don’t miss the delicious Vietnamese appetisers and snacks. Their traditional Bahn Mi baguette was one of the best we came across in Vietnam.
Restaurants
There are plenty of amazing dining options at the Four Seasons Nam Hai. Our most memorable dining experience was a private lantern lit seafood banquet under the stars. Theres nothing better than dinning outdoors in the tropical warmth.
Spa
One of the big draw cards of The Nam Hai is the award winning Heart of the Earth spa which is inspired by the teachings of Thich Nhat Hanh, Art of Mindfulness. Renowned for its crystal bowl sound healing and ancient Vietnamese therapies. The spa floats seamlessly over a serene lotus pond.
