Maxanab Hotel is located on the northern end of Tulum beach, Mexico. The hotel is situated beachside in a quiet area surrounded by lush coconut palms, making for a serene and secluded atmosphere. With some of Tulum’s best bars, restaurants & boutiques within easy walking distance, along with direct beachfront access, makes Maxanab Hotel one of the best hotels to stay on Tulum Beach.
Maxanab Accommodation
The hotel offers 16 boutique and stylishly designed rooms, each with its own personality and charm. The rooms are spacious, and comfortable, with luxurious bedding and natural amenities that help you relax and unwind. Maxanab hotels attention to detail in the design and decoration of the rooms creates a comfortable and tranquil atmosphere. We stayed in the upper floor Ocean View Suite with private plunge pool. The room has stunning sunrise views and private terrace with cool ocean breezes throughout the day.
Maxanab Hotel Facilities
The hotel has an incredible restaurant that serves delicious, locally sourced food, definitely one of the highlights of our stay. The menu is varied, and the ingredients are fresh and full of flavour. By far some of the best food we had during our whole trip in Mexico. As a plus you can order food and enjoy it on your private balcony.
Apart from private pools in some of the rooms, the hotel also has a stunning main pool surrounded by sun chairs and coconut palms, a great spot to soak up some sun and enjoy a cold margarita or mezcalita ( our favourite ).

What to do at Tulum Beach
Tulum is famous for its pristine beaches and clear turquoise waters. As the hotel is right on Tulum main beach, you can spend your days relaxing in the cabanas metres from the sea, swimming, snorkelling or trying out a variety of water sports.
The hotel also offers bike rentals, which is a great way to explore the surrounding area its restaurants, cafes and boutiques. The nearby Mayan ruins of Tulum and Coba are definitely worth a visit. Also a visit to Tulums famous crystal clear fresh water cenotes are a must, our favourite was Gran Cenote. The hotel can arrange tours for guests.
