You may have noticed we love the tropical life, warm breezes, coconut palms and turquoise waters. So when we had the opportunity of joining a Fiji Islands content trip to Marriott Momi Bay Sheraton Tokoriki, we were over the moon.

Fiji Marriott Resort Momi Bay

Our first days on Fiji time

We flew into Nandi and began our Fiji islands adventure at one of Fijis best mainland resorts Marriott Momi Bay. A 2 hour trip down the scenic palm fringed coast from the capital Nadi. Staying in a beach side villa, there was nothing better than waking up in the morning, walking out onto the beach & enjoying our morning coffee under the palms. We spent our days at Marriott Momi Bay, enjoying the tropical sunshine, siping on piña coladas & fresh seafood dinners in the balmy island evenings. The perfect intro to island life.

Sheraton Tokoriki

The outer islands

Our next chapter of our Fiji Adventure was to head for the outer islands where the real magic happens. 2 hours on a sea cat passing tropical islands and watching flying fish glide across the clear tropical blue ocean. We arrived at Tokoriki one of the beautiful islands in the Mamanuca archipelago.

At Tokoriki we stayed at the Sheraton resort and spa. There are only 2 resorts on Tokoriki so you get plenty of space to yourself. The perfect couples getaway. Along with its own private beach Sheraton Tokoriki also has amazing coral reef right out the front. Perfect for spending the days either relaxing, snorkelling or paddle boarding in the crystal clear waters.

Sailing the outer reefs

An unforgettable experience

The stand out highlight of our Fiji adventure was below the sea. We took a day trip to the outer reefs with the team from Coral Cats. We’ve both done a lot of snorkelling on our trips & love getting under the water, although nothing prepared us for what was next.

The catamaran moored in what felt like the middle of nowhere far from any islands. We excitedly dove off into the seemingly bottomless blue ocean making our way towards the shallow reef in the distance. As we reached the rim of the reef I’ll never forget Adri’s look as she turned back to me, eyes wide open with shock. Following behind her over the reef edge I was blown away by the most vibrant coral garden I have ever seen. It was the underwater wonderland you imagine yet rarely ever encounter. We could have spent the whole day under the water exploring all the secret treasures the coral garden was keeping.
