1. Sarakiniko Beach

Sarakiniko Beach is one of the most iconic spots on the island and easily one of the best things to do in Milos. Commonly called Moon Beach, for its striking white moonscape rocks and turquoise waters you’ll feel like you’re on another planet. Spend a day at Sarakiniko beach soaking up the sun and swimming at one of the best beaches in Milos. TIP: stay to watch the sunset colours glow over the white limestone cliffs.

2. Firopotamos Beach

Firopotamos Beach is a small, sheltered cove with crystal clear waters and colourful fishing boats. It’s a great spot for snorkelling and relaxing. Firopotamos is easily one of the best beaches on the island. Theres also a small kiosk at the beach to grab drinks and snacks, along with a small natural cliff dive up by the church. Firopotamos is a small village but if you book in advance you can find some great beach front accomodation there.

3. Firiplaka Beach

Firiplaka Beach is a long sandy beach with clear waters and plenty of space to spread out. It’s a popular spot for locals and one of the most popular beaches on the island. Its about 30 Minutes drive from Plaka or 15 from Adamantus port. If your looking for a long stretch of sandy beach and shallow clear water this is a great pick for a Milos beach day.

4. Sunset at Klima

Klima is an old traditional fishing village with colourful boat houses built right on the waters edge. A lot of the boat houses have turned into waterfront holiday rentals, if you’re after a unique stay check out Salty Splash Klima and you can swim 2 metres in front of your accomodation. Klima is also easily one of the best sunset spots in Milos. Theres also a great restaurant called Astakasright by the waters edge for a sunset dinner.

5. Mandrakia Fishing Village & Medusa Restaurant

Mandrakia is another beautiful fishing village on Milos island, with colourful houses built right into the rocks. It’s a great spot to wander around and take in the local architecture and colourful boathouses. You can also snorkel & swim in the protected bay. While you’re there grab a fresh seafood lunch overlooking the sea at the popular Medusa restaurant.

6. Kleftiko Cove & Boat Tour

Taking a boat trip along the Milos coastline is one of the best ways to experience the crystal clear waters Milos is famous for. Make sure to do one that stops at Kleftiko cove to experience snorkelling through the dramatic limestone caves.

7. Dinner in Plaka, Milos

Plaka is the main town on the island, with classic Greek island narrow streets and white-washed houses. It’s a great spot to grab dinner and explore the local shops and cafes in the cooler evenings. Before dinner you can walk up to the Plaka castle for dramatic sunset views over the island and village. Plaka is a great option to stay if you want to be close to restaurants and shopping.
