Sustainable bohemian clothing ~ Arnhem

I first fell in love with Arnhem on Instagram around 2016. What drew me most to this beautiful label was the vibrant colours & vintage floral prints. It’s been amazing to see Arnhem grow into a sustainable bohemian clothing label whilst staying true to their roots. Arnhem was the first brand I saw to put sustainability at the forefront of everything they do.

4 reasons why I love Arnhem

Sustainability

Arnhem started their sustainability journey before many other brands. In 2017 they hired a Sustainability officer and soon became one of the leading sustainable bohemian clothing brands.

They use the best fabrics possible for the planet. Previously the brand used rayon and viscose but they have completely replace those for Ecovero or Lenzil Tencel which are cellulose fibres derived from renewable wood pulp. Their cotton is all GTOS (organic) or BCI certified. The only synthetic fibres they use are recycled. Such as their swimwear where they use Econyl ~ Regenerated Nylon waste from landfills & oceans. Recycled polyester is use in all their tags.

When I first started finding these sustainable fabrics in the clothing descriptions. I was under the impression they wouldn’t have the same soft feel as Rayon but I was completely wrong because Arnhem dresses are always soft & flowy.

Their packaging is plastic free! and they have a zero plastic policy that extends to their suppliers. Recycled materials are use for all their paper packaging.

Another thing that I love is the brand’s efforts to a Zero Waste production by using off cut fabrics. Creating new collections with those fabrics like this one Revive.

It’s easy to see that Sustainability is not a trend from Arnhem, they truly embrace it in everything they do.

If all this wasn’t enough they also partner with organisations doing great things. Like their recent tee campaign “Keep The Coral Floral” where all profits were donated to Sea Shepherd. An organization doing amazing things towards Ocean Conservation.

This is only a fraction of the things that the label does, if you want to learn more you can head to their website.

Educational

In my own journey to sustainability. I’ve found Arnhem’s blogs and initiatives not only inspiring but also very educational. They regularly share DIY tips on their instagram & blog!

Colour and prints

As someone that loves colour I love brands that embrace it. Arnhem’s designs are elegant and feminine without sacrificing comfort. Best of all they are so easy to wear!

Perfect for travel

Arnhem’s pieces are the perfect travel companions. One of my absolute favourite thing about them is that they don’t crease so I never have to waste time steaming while traveling. More time for cocktails 🙂

You can buy all Arnhem pieces here.

Side note all our photos are edited with our own Lightroom presets, you can purchase them here.
