Temple Farmhouse

The best kept secret to staying in Byron Bay is to stay in the hinterland. Its no coincidence that it’s up in the tranquil hinterland hills you’ll find the best Byron Bay Airbnb, Temple Farmhouse.  We were lucky enough to recently get a chance to stay at the beautiful Temple Farm House. Perched atop a private hill on 75 acres in the lush Hinterland countryside.

Getting there

The scenic 20 minute drive from Byron took us through windy rural roads, cute villages and macadamia orchards. You could be forgiven for thinking your in the Tuscan countryside.

Making our way up the final stretch of a dusty country road, the modern farmhouse sits high on a hill ahead of us.
Walking though the front door the first thing greeting us is the vast panoramic views of the picturesque hinterland.

With immaculately styled worldly farmhouse touches throughout, an open plan living area that flows out onto a balcony and a 25 meter lap pool overlooking the rolling countryside this is the place for the perfect staycation.

This luxurious Byron Bay Airbnb sleeps up to 9 people, perfect for group getaways or family trips. With its absolute privacy you feel a million miles from anywhere, just you the views and the sounds of nature. The birdsongs specially in the morning will make your heart melt.

Our top 5 reasons not to miss the Temple Farmhouse

1. Sunrise in the outdoor bathtubs

We woke up before sunrise to prepare the baths to experience a hinterland sunrise from the most amazing iron cast bath tubs, nature’s soundtrack made this experience even more special!

2. The 25 Meter lap pool

Even in the midst of winter the weather was perfect for soaking up the sun and enjoying the pool.

3. Relaxing nooks

There are little chill out spots everywhere from the swinging balcony daybed to the room-length bench-seat by the panoramic windows.

4. Sunset Vinos in the herb garden

We loved taking in the sunset with wine and appetisers in the Tuscan style herb garden.

5. Star gazing and marshmallow roasting by the campfire

The hinterland night skies are incredible. With a bonus full moonrise over the hills whilst roasting marshmallows.
